Flat Screen For G&G

We picked a Saturday with temps hovering near 90 degrees to install Grandma and Grandpa's new flat screen TV. August 11 was hot; and being Grandma and Grandpa's house I don't think they even had a window or door cracked for air!

As with most jobs of this nature, nothing went right.

Comcast has the nicest, kindest service agents. However 4 calls later I deduced those nice, kind representatives didn't know squat about what they were talking about. So this is the million dollar question: would you rather have a grumpy, helpful service rep or a caring, worthless service rep? Hey, here's a thought...how about a caring, helpful service representative...since *service* is supposed to be in their job description.

Long story short, after the better part of an afternoon we got it in place and jury rigged for the night. Once we got home John searched online for a solution to the issues he was having; found what he needed; went back Sunday and with correct information in hand had it properly put together in less than an hour. The bonus? He was able to configure the same kadoinker to work exactly like it did on the old TV...much easier for Grandma and Grandpa to be able to turn the TV on and off the same way they have for the last 15 years :)
