It's my birthday today

Ahhh, I slept in late; my absolute favorite thing to do. 
Happy 56th Birthday!

After a romp with dogs and a cup of coffee I set about opening my birthday gifts from my favorite sister. If I had audio in this blog you would hear lively Christmas music in the background, "Sleigh bells ring, can you hear them..."

OH! Speaking of Christmas...I have to share a photo of the Advent calendar that same wonderful sister sent me. We saw it while shopping at Molbak's and I ooohed and aaahed over it. Someone was paying attention :)

Door 1 and 2 have been opened. Eagerly looking forward to all the other doors. 
Do you ever want to peak ahead? I do...but I won't!

Time for presents. Woohoo!

My mother taught me to always open the card first...a cute Snoopy card from G&G and big long happy card from G&D

How did she know? While folding laundry yesterday I was lamenting the thin, thin sole of my favorite socks; socks exactly like these new ones. 
Honestly, she is good.

I think I'm going to need a box of Kleenex to get through this book.

A long soft silky scarf is the perfect gift for a lady that likes to cover her double chin whenever possible :) and in the perfect colors for my wardrobe!
